St. Louis

St. Louis is a great town and I love exploring it. It's a good size, not too big to be overwhelming but still enough of fun things to do. This page is dedicated to all the cool things I love about St. Louis. Let me know if there is something I should check out before I leave in the next few months.

Things to do:

  1. Visit Stray Rescue: Stray Rescue is an amazing organization which just does so much to help the stray dogs in this city. If you live in STL you should foster or walk dogs with this organization. The dogs are so great and there are wonderful people that work and volunteer with this organization. And of course that is where I met the lazy daisy dog
  2. Drink some beer: As I mentioned here, St. Louis is quickly becoming a great place to be if you love microbrews. Of course there is Schlafly, which has been in St. Louis for the last 20 years. They have lots of year round favorites and offer some really unique ones at their tap room. In the last year and change 4 different brewerys have opened in St. Louis. Square One is a brewery and distillery and they don't distribute their beers but have a great little brewpub in lafayette square. Six Row opened maybe 2 years ago, but is just beginning to get their beers into more locations. Urban Chestnut opened a little over a year ago and is great! Then 4HandsCivil Life, and Perennial Artisian Ales all have opened in the last few months. I've yet to get to Perennial but I've had a couple of their beers and it is great!
  3. Visit City Museum. Ok truth time. Haven't actually been here since freshman year. Need to return before I leave St. Louis.

Places to eat: I love St. Louis food. So many great places. I'm just going to mention those places that I have been recently and really enjoy. THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHERWISE!
  1. Half & Half - go for brunch. Way better than First Watch the usual brunch place in Clayton
  2. Bailey's Range - great burgers & fun local craft beer. Can't get better than that.
  3. Home Wine Kitchen - great food, cute place. Their brunch is good and I majorly suggest their No Menu Mondays right here
